Beginner Questions
Hi,
Sorry to ask these dumb questions but i need to know ( I read the rules but didnt get a clear answer). 1) When they say 4 sectors permitted within one continent, does it include the intercontinental flight ( Arrival & Departure)? 2) If I travel from let's say South Africa to London - does it count as a sector in Africa or Europe?? ( Is it point of departure or arrival that counts). Thanks a million & happy travels |
the answer is no for your question.
1) 4 segments WITHIN continent, therefore intercontinental is not one those 4. 2) same here but stopover at entry/exit city count as stopover [This message has been edited by pegasus8228 (edited 05-09-2001).] |
I may be stupid but I didn't understand the answer to the original question.
How do we count continents? Stephen |
At least for my rtw jan-jul 2000 every incoming flight was a sector. For example, the flight from Bangkok to Sydney was the first sector in Australia/Pacific.

Flights between continents are not counted as segments. Upon arrival in a continent, every flight is counted as a segment. The flight departing the continent is not counted.
