What do you think about the possible exit of Canadian Airlines from the Oneworld family?

I hear different opinions about whether American will "allow" it to happen as they own 25% of Canadian. Apparently, the value of access to the west that Canadian ensures far outweighs the money that American has been pumping in to keep Canadian afloat. It may be a good deal for both Airlines. On the other hand, leaving will require significant penalties to be paid to Oneworld.

Gee, can you imagine having Canada 3000 as its replacement? Horrors!

Canada 3000 should extend its route from HNL to KIX. Not that many of us would be on it, but it would be a smart move.
