Oneworld train segments?

I have some questions for the Oneworld faithful

1. Are there some train journeys eg Eurostar that have flight numbers attached to them? (This has been discussed elsewhere but I couldn't get the search facility to work.)

2. If so, what are the train journeys aligned to Oneworld airlines?

3. Can Oneworld round the world tickets be used for these train journeys?

4. Do these train journeys qualify for the 100k bonus?

If so, some of you might consider doing a few train journeys as a means of qualifying for the 100k bonus. (Get a Eurail pass maybe?)

cheers Peter

aa just started a program with sncf on a couple of routes since they just moved to cdg from ory on 10/1. no idea how it works. it's only 1 week old. haven't heard of them doing anything else.

those 'code-share' train rides just bring in some basic miles and nothing else (no status, no bonus) - and often those train-segments are costlier that way than booking it with the railway directly (and using one of the endless promotional-/seasonal-/non-rush-hour-/holiday-/senior-/junior- TARIFS).

I believe these trains are only in France (SNCF, not Eurostar) and tickets are bought in conjunction with UA or AA flights. By extrapolation, I assume you also have to take a connecting flight to earn miles.

You can earn UA miles for taking Eurostar, but only in the 'partner' miles category.
