Upgrades using avios (BA) points
 

Hi All,

Starting a LONE4 in August.

We booked it through AA at the time because reading this forum they seemed to be the best if we needed to make any changes.

We have 300k BA Avios miles and just wanted to query how we can potentially use them for upgrades.

There are only 2 flights in the itinerary on BA (LHR>YYZ, SYD>LHR), most are with AA.

Can i only use my BA Avios to upgrade these flights or can i use them on other oneworld partners?

Any other hints/tips for upgrades in general?

We're both Silver on BA, not sure whether the other airlines will acknowledge that for things like operational upgrades?

Any help/advice appreciated!

You cannot use BA avios to upgrade flights on a ticket issued by AA. Avios can only be used to upgrade flights on tickets issued by BA (125). See:
