No CX miles LHR-MAN
 

Posting this as a special note and warning to all those trying to get that 100K bonus. In several threads people have discussed how to get Cathay pacific into their 5, including flying to Manchester. Please note the following from the ASiamiles site.



Cathay Pacific Airways

CX Codeshare flights on British Midland and Ansett New Zealand are ineligible for Asia Miles.

The following flights and flight numbers are ineligible for earning Asia Miles:

CX/BD
LHR/MANvv.
CX1263/1262

LHR/BFSvv.
CX1243/1242

LHR/EDIvv.
CX1233/1232

LHRGLAvv.
CX1253/1252




For details about ineligible flights on other airline partners, please call the Asia Miles Service Hotline.

If you are planning on any of those flights, they won't work. The flight has to be eligible for mileage accrual in order to get the bonus, as the above are ineligible, they dont count as CX flights for the bonus. Everyone be very careful about making sure their flights and fare codes all count for mileage credit or you wont get the bonus you expect, costing up to 50K miles, if you get 4 when you think you had all 5 for the 100K.

I think people are trying to do MAN-AMS or MAN-CDG vv. on CX which has full Fifth Freedom traffic rights between those cities.
