Connecting in Madrid
I am connecting from a BA to LATAM flight in Madrid next week (sep tix). I've given myself 2.5 hrs between flights to grab my bag and re-drop off. Will that be enough time or should I try to bring my first flight forward?

It is if everything is on time.
It is up to you how much extra time you want to allow for delays or IRROPS since you are not connecting and unprotected if the inbound is delayed. |
Not ideal but doable if on time. Delay of 45 mins or more may start to look tight.
You'll need to get yourself from the satellite to the main terminal, collect your bags and take the lift up to departures. The LATAM desks are on the far left when looking into the terminal from the lifts/curbside |
It'd make me nervous. Apparently one end of MAD is in Madrid and the other end is in Barcelona :D
|
As others said, both you and your bags have to travel to the remotest ends of T4/T4S - and back. It almost compares to a terminal change, although it strictly speaking isn't ...
|
And bags, especially from T4S, take forever in MAD. Also, check-in closes earlier than most other airports for T4S departures, IB is 55mins for example. Not sure what JJ/LA deadline is.
