Urggh the one time I want a RTW out of CAI I assume that means even a TA can't book one?
I guess the next best option is to hop to ALG for ~$300 economy and start from there. What a pain!

On the other hand, Circle Pacific fares out of HKG are still pretty decent, e.g. DCIR22 at US$5241 and DCIR26 at $6394. Both are cheaper than their Japanese equivalents by several hundred dollars.

Many people prefer to purchase from AA because the RTW desk is usually pretty good. Others may prefer to buy from CX because it can be arranged by email. Likely some airlines will charge more or less for fuel surcharges, but I don't know for sure which might be cheaper.

And if looking to plan one of these yourself a EF/KVS subscription is frankly necessary so you can see easily which flights have availability in the right fare class.
