Time between flying and updating status points

Dear flyertalkers,
After reading the forum for quite some time, the time has broken to post my first q.

I'm currently doing a trip in Thailand/Malaysia/Singapore. After quite some research and calculations and choosing the interconnecting flights in the right booking class, I will be qualifying for oneworld sapphire when returning home next week. I'm hooked up to Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and with some upcoming flights on QR I will benefit from the given Qcredits/upgrade credits.

When finished my flight back home, two days later I will be going to Honolulu with BA/AA. I noticed it takes quite some time for Qatar to process my status points and miles on other oneworld carriers, therefore I wonder if there is any way to prove I'm eligible for the sapphire benefits while doing the trip to HNL. Should I take my former boarding passes with an excel-sheet to prove I'm sapphire? Are the oneworld-lounges employees able to check my actual status, even if my account hasn't updated yet? I'm travelling with a friend, would be nice to let him benefit from these perks as my 'guest'.

Oneworld status does not exist independently of your QR status. If QR has not upgraded your status I do not believe a lounge attendant will accept your spreadsheet for admittance. You may want to consider asking this question on the QR forum or contacting QR to see if there is something they can do speed up their crediting of your new status.

With the number of airlines and frequent flyer programs in OneWorld, it is already difficult for lounge attendants to recognize the cards of the various programs. It would be close to impossible for them to know the rules for gaining status with all these programs, and in fact they are not trained to know the rules. So your only chance is to speed up the status credit with your own frequent flyer program.

This was cross posted to the QR board, which is not permitted on FT, so I'm closing this thread.
