Lap child in Y - AA, BA or IB?
Two adults traveling with two infants on lap in Y.
We know that bassinets can be reserved on BA in advance but AA has MCE seats. We are not sure about IB? Any input or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks. |
Whichever airline you choose, make sure you understand the implications of both of you having a lap child when it comes to seat selection as you may not actually be able to sit next to each other due to the number of available emergency oxygen masks in each set of seats depending on aircraft type.

I would choose aisle seats across from each other so you can still be close. How old are the babies and what is your itinerary?

And remember they need their own ticket, unlike domestic US travel.

If you are asking about coach, it's pretty much the same; some might allocate bulkhead seats, and some airlines provide baby cots or bassinets; AA doesn't any longer, but AA does offer Main Cabin Extra with extra legroom (in all other ways, it's economy, and unless you have Platinum or higher status, there is a cost). IB do not have an MCE-like product.
Good luck and safe travels! Cross posting across fora is not allowed on FlyerTalk. As this thread has received answers, and the other has not, the other identical one you started a day after this one has been deleted. As you are inquiring about three one world airlines, AA, BA and IB, we'll move this to the one world forum for broader input. JDiver, Senior Moderator |
Thanks, JDiver for your inputs and for moving/deleting the thread to an appropriate board.
