DONE3, transcon musing
What do you think is the best way for LAX-JFK without using the A320T/"32B" 3 class flights (want to get booked in A).
Have 2 sectors including transcon available. |
LAX-SAN-JFK, LAX-LAS-JFK, LAX-BOS-JFK, LAX-MIA-JFK. On the MIA option, be careful as some flights are 3-class 777s; however every other day or so AA flies a 2-class 763 on the route, which would be preferable to the every-day 738s. You could also go LAX-MCO-JFK, but I think they're using ex-US A321s on the Orlando leg, meh.
I assume you want "A" for the QFF credits, but am obligated to mention that my choice would be LAX-YVR-JFK using CX's 77W on the redeye. Both segments would be in D, however. AA is running an E175 from LA to Vancouver, with pretty decent seats up front. |

I was looking at a west bound transcon, but flight timetables and dates to be at each stopover make the eastbound option appear better (if I can get this tool to offer AA793  ) I'll look at the MIA option :) I currently have HND-xHKG-BOS-STL-LAX-xMIA-JFK-MIA-ZRH-HEL-xLHR-xDXB-xLHR-ICN-xHKG-xSIN-HND. (just with problems getting the damn tool to offer some flights) |
Disregarding any immigration issues and flight times, CX C YVR-JFK is IMHO the best business transcon in NA
