Help with aone3 ticket change
 
I have AONE3 trip coming. The issuing agent is BA as my first flight is with BA. I like to change one of my segment ( business )HKG-KUL from MH earlier flight to CX J on a later flight specifically CX725 on the same day. However that flight is not showing any D availability when I called BA to change even though it is available on CX website albeit as J fare. Since I am on an AONE3 , would I be allowed to book/change.

If only J is available then no. The applicable booking class is D for CX business and needs to be available for you to book that flight.
NOTE: For flights where First or Business Class is not offered or available, passengers may travel in a lower Class, in the applicable booking code for that lower Class.

Where the applicable booking class for the lower class is not available,
Passengers travelling on First Class Fares may book Y class
Passengers travelling on DONE* Business Class Fares may book B class
The only exceptions are listed above.

No. xONEx fares only allow travel in A, D and L (with some exceptions for certain routes/flights). If there is no first class on a flight, you will be booked in D. If D is not available, you will be booked in Y.

There is a later CX flight available in D but not lie flat on the same day. If I were to switch my MH flight to that flight, would I able to call CX directly and asked to standby or switch to an earlier flight that has lie flat. I'm CX GO if it help.

Just beware that most of CX's regional routes (like KUL) that are not guaranteed a long haul product are susceptible to last minute equipment swaps quite often.
