AA RTW desk contact

Does the AA RTW desk have any other contact methods, or just the phone number in Dallas?

With the booking tool as it is, I'm looking at other options to book. Current plan is to contact the RTW desk to set it up, then pay at the AA ticketing desk at NRT when I'm there in mid August (assuming I have it all planned out by then. Damn QF program/flight changes causing planning delays). But given my last experience with the AA RTW desk, I don't exactly relish the idea of making several long international phone calls.

You can use skype to call that number for free. I don't think there's any other contact method than calling.

+1

Just make sure that your Skype connection is good. It's most frustrating for the Skype line to drop out mid call. You could always ask for the AA reloc early in the call so you can quote it if you have to call back - just to save time for you and their RTW AAgent.

I don't have any way to make voice calls with Skype.

The last time I used the AA RTW desk, they tried to charge me the AONE3 price for a DONE3.

Each agent's email address is [email protected]
I believe they will respond with information, but they will only take action on bookings in response to a telephone call.

I just finished an ex-JNB AONE4. I booked just 4 segments, wanting to get it booked and willing to pay $125 to change it later. I booked it entirely with the Capetown AA rep, including pricing and ticketing (the rate desk didn't respond to them within a few days so the agent priced it himself, within a few dollars of what I expected. They're competent and quick, although I was on hold for a few minutes a couple of times.

En-route I made changes with the desk at DFW several times, and I believe they never ever calculated taxes and fees correctly. I'm about to sit down and calculate the correct fare and get my money back directly or via due process, but every interface with them that involved the rate desk was tedious and painful.

(how in this day and age can an international call to a first- or second-world country cost anything? Isn't everyone using ooma or some voip service? )
