Lounge Access in FRA

Flying DFW - FRA on AA in J and connecting to an onward AB flight to CTA (in coach, obviously). Am I interpreting the oneworld website correctly in that I should get access to either the Cathay or Japan Air lounge in FRA? I'm also oneworld elite (me emerald, traveling companion sapphire).

In theory yes, although to be honest I am not sure how the connections work between the concourses (having only been through once). However, FRA seems to have common departure-arrival areas so I assume you should be able to get through to any of the lounges in Terminal 2. However, be aware that there may be additional security checks between the lounge and the departure gate so you need to allow sufficient time to get through

(My experience was connecting CX-BA - the CX lounge was very near the arrival gate and acts both as departure and arrival lounge, and I thought it was very pleasant. Getting from there to the BA departure gate was, as I recall, about 400 yards and half an hour!)

I'm less familiar with D & E parts of the terminal at FRA. However, the flight to CTA will depart from schengen zone whereas you arrive at non-schengen zone. You need to clear immigration to get to your departure gate. This doesn't necessarily prevent a visit to any lounge in the non-schengen zone, but you need to allow more time to get to your gate.

All OW lounges in FRA suck, period. Flying AB you can use IB lounge that is located in D/E gates area where AB departs from.
