Credit miles to BAEC or Asiamiles
Hi,
I am a BA bronze member and soon to be silver on my next flight taken. I usually fly 1 round trip from India to US in CW on BA a year. I am flying CX in J to PVG from DEL later this week. CX, on their website has a triple mile promotion for Asia Miles for flights from India. My outbound is before this date and the inbound is after. I was wondering if I should credit the outbound to my Asia miles account as my BA bonuses don't apply to flights on CX. Can I credit outbound journey to one account and inbound to another? Would this be a smart way of doing it and taking advantage of the triple miles promotion? |
Yes you can credit flights separately.
However, will you earn enough miles on CX to make use of them? If not, you may just end up with a small amount of Asia Miles that you have no use for. |
You can credit different segments to different FFP's. I am doing this Thursday. You need to be 100% sure the correct freq number is each segment. Keep the boarding pass's until you see the avois/miles in the correct account on line.
Is it BA or CX freq flyer program who has the bonus? No-one can advise you if its better to credit to BA or Asia Miles. Depends what you will do with avois/miles and status. And be careful about avois/miles expiry |
