CX First vs JL First - Which one?

So,

I have a F award seat on JAL LAX-NRT, continuing my journey to CMB on CX First/Business. I also have the choice to fly CX F which - as awesome as it is - I have flown before. The tricky thing is that to try JL F I have to cut two full days in Sri Lanka, effectively shortening my vacation there.

Now: is this worth it just for the sake of trying a new F product? Does JL release F availability closer in? All other dates appear to be not available.

Thanks!

As amazing as JAL F is, I would recommend flying on CX just so you don't have to cut 2 days short in Sri Lanka and have a longer direct flight in F to HKG. If you are lucky, you might get the new CX F seats which it is planning to roll out this month so it might not be the same old experience. You can find details of the refresh from my blog post below (sadly no rendering of the new cabin yet)
