Hi folks

Comparing the new prices (in JOD) to the prices from back in March - the good news is that only the First Class fares have gone up. Business and Economy are unchanged.

Thank you, pandaperth. I only looked for the AONEX prices, without comparing the prices for L and D.

I apologise for the mistake. Maybe can the Admin change the title.

I'm going to wait a couple of days for things to settle, then will look at editing/merging etc. threads regarding xONEx pricing changes.

Canadian exception?

Given discussion that indicates the "Canadian Exception" is no longer being honored by OW, one would need a functional TA in Jordan.

Right! Does anyone have a TA or know how to issue an ex-Amman ticket?

I don't know of a TA in Jodan, but this one in Egypt should work
Ticket Sales Centers - Egypt
Cairo
92A El Tahrir St.
Saridar Complex 5th floor
Suite 65A, Dokki
Cairo, Egypt
202 333 73495 Telephone
202 333 73499 Reservations
202 3337 1277 Fax
(source: see post #2 in this thread canadian-exception-oneworld-rtws-eliminated)

The reason it should work is because fares are lower in Egypt than in Jordan. Therefore the "The resultant fare must not be lower than from the country of sale" rule kicks in and you will be charged the ex-Jordan fare

Note: I have no experience of using a TA for this (other than Gala Travels in Canada) - so YMMV

There are two success stories in the thread. Among other things the Canadian "fuss" was because the online tool doesn't handle all the intricacies of the xonex rules very well. IIRC, from the KRT thread at least two people issued ex-KRT xonex's using the online tool. Another, and this was true of AMM also, the tool often balked at complex routings (and ending elsewhere in the ME) and some did not want to spend the $125 to reissue. For others it was probably just easier. Besides, the online tool doesn't care about SITI, many of us have issued tickets using the tool while not in the country of departure.

Interesting, thanks. I wonder why that's the case for [redacted] and not the general rule. Maybe it's time to stop talking about it in public.

The online tool treats ticketing as being issued in the country of first departure and paid for over the Internet, same as most Internet purchased ticket.

Very different to the Canadian exception where the ticket was clearly Canadian issued.
