crediting one flight to 2 FF programs

Hi folks,

Is it possible to credit following flight to 2 FF Programs (*A LH M&M and OW AY+)?
In special I think on following flight:

JJ ticket:
Sao Paulo (GRU) — Santiago (SCL) - Mi., 3. Okt
TAM Linhas Aereas 8212 Abflug: 09:10 Ankunft: 13:20 4:10 Std. Boeing 767 Economy (L)
OPERATED BY LAN AIRLINES

Santiago (SCL) — Sao Paulo (GRU) - So., 7. Okt
TAM Linhas Aereas 8205 Abflug: 10:05 Ankunft: 13:55 3:50 Std. Airbus A320 Economy (L)
OPERATED BY LAN AIRLINES

Sao Paulo (GRU) — Santiago (SCL) - Mi., 3. Okt
LAN Airlines 755 Abflug: 09:10 Ankunft: 13:20 4:10 Std. Boeing 767 Economy (O)

Santiago (SCL) — Sao Paulo (GRU) - So., 7. Okt
LAN Airlines 774 Abflug: 10:05 Ankunft: 13:55 3:50 Std. Airbus A320 Economy (O)

E.g.: If you fly with an AF ticket on an OS flight (AF codeshare) it is possible to credit the miles to LH M&M and AF FB if you didn't enter a FF number at checkin and request the miles afterwards.

thx in advance

Yes it is possible, but you need an agent who knows the keystrokes required to assign specific segments to a FF account.

Star Alliance is very metal specific - in general you cannot credit non star alliance metal to a star programme.

AF coded flights despite whatever metal they are on will credit to AF/KL's own FB programme. Other programmes also do this, but it tends to only be in OW and ST programmes although note that a SU coded flight operated on OS metal won't for example credit to AF/KL's FB programme.

Looking at your flights above, I don't think the JJ operated but LA coded flight will credit to AY, and neither will the LA coded but JJ operated flight to M&M. You would really need to considering taking a look at JJ's and LA's programmes for that to work.

You might want to seriously consider your last option which was to avoid entering a number and retro claim.

The options of crediting to two programs are limited even when a flight can in principle be credited to 2 programs in different alliances. AF, for example, normally wants the original boarding passes to be sent in to them when you make a retro-claim.

The only situation I know of where double-dipping is routinely possible is when you get involuntary rebooked on an airline that is not partner of your FFP. In this case you can claim the miles for the new booking and retro-claim the miles for your old booking (provided your FFP has the rule that in cases of involuntary rebooking a passenger can claim the miles for the original itinerary if they wish so).

If the flights are operated by LAN then you aren't going to get credit for them in a *A program. Operating metal is what matters.
