BA flight operated by AA

I booked a flight from BA. Our return flight is MCO-TLV via MIA. the MCO-MIA operated by AA.
Few questions:
1. would we have to pay 25$ per baggage even though the policy of BA for international flight is one free baggage?
2. In MCO, would we have to go to BA or AA counter?
3. would they send our checked baggage directly to TLV?

Welcome to FT!

1. No, the policy of the long-haul/over-water portion applies. You'd get free baggage on both AA and BA.

2. AA.

3. I assume your actual route is MCO-MIA-LHR-TLV? Neither AA nor BA fly directly from MIA to TLV, so you have to change planes somewhere in Europe. Regardless, your bag should be tagged to TLV.

Look closely at your ticket. You should always check in with the operating carrier, regardless of who sold the ticket.

No you won't have to pay the domestic baggage fee since it is part of an international itinerary.

You will check in with AA in MCO.

They will check the bags all the way to TLV

thanks.

What about the baggage size/oversized policy? AA and BA are really different in baggage size allowance. BA allows 90cm x 75cm x 43cm (35.5in x 29.5in x 16 in) and AA gives only 45 in/115 cm in total, and 200$ oversized penalty!

Look at checked luggage - the 45in total is for carry-on. Checked luggage is more like 62"

AA actually allows 62 in/158 cm. The 45 in/115 cm you quoted is for carry-on. BA policy should apply no matter what, though.
