OW Lounge access in Orly & Barcelona

I am due to fly ORY-MAH via BCN in June. The service is operated by Vueling Airlines. If I purchase an Iberia ticket with Iberia flight number on the boarding pass, I ASSUME I can access the Iberia VIP lounges in both ORY and BCN as a OWE. If however I purchase the ticket direct from Vueling with a Vueling flight number on the Boarding Pass, do I still have access to the lounges?
Have emailed Iberia with the question but no reply as yet.
Many thanks to all you learned folk.

Unless your OWE is with IB I do not think you have the access from the case. If anyone who knows better please correct me. Thanks.

Currently, the OW website says the following:

Enjoy exclusive access to premium airport lounges around the world as an equivalent oneworld Emerald or Sapphire frequent flyer member. Members of oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes with the equivalent of oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status can use any lounge offered by any oneworld airline when departing on any flight marketed or operated by any oneworld member airline, no matter in which cabin class they are flying.
It is a recent change in wording that is not in strict accordance with the earlier version, info found on the websites of individual airlines or even the linked page itself.

For more information see these threads:
Change/Clarification of oneword elite tier lounge access
Change/Clarification of oneword Class-of-Service lounge access

I think if you print the quoted text and show it the "lounge dragon", you have pretty good chances to enter.
In October at BCN I could enter the lounge (which is a third party lounge for airlines from multiple alliances) without my Sapphire card and my BP erroneously indicating Ruby. I only had a printout from the Amadeus GDS, which did absolutely not look official, having my correct status among the reservation details.

Thanks chongcao & JnsV. I have decided to go with Iberia ticketing as Lounge access is more important to Mrs subharpoon than pre-selected & paid for exit row seats through Vueling direct. Short flights anyhow (compared to getting there from Australia!).

my experince no lounge access

hi subharpoon im an australian living in spain. my experience is no you dont get lounge access when flying with vueling if your OWE or OWS. i have on numerous occassions purchased tickets through IB as a codeshare for a vueling flight for this very reason to get lounge access. ive been unsuccessful. i believe if i was emerald with IB i would (chongcao is correct). i believed the wording that JnsV stated is misleading , not on his behalf, but on the websites. Either that or IB interprets this rule differently. If you were travelling with air nostrum (another subsidiary of IB) you would get access and points though. my experiences have been in barcelona. there was a thread about this too a while back with other flyers having the same experience as me. let me know either way how you go.cheers

The wording of the rule on the oneworld website changed from AND to OR late last year.

It's either a mistake or, the rule has indeed changed - but this information has not filtered down through to all the oneworld airlines (let alone the oneworld lounges) as yet.

I'd take a hard copy of the web page and the URL with you when you travel for now.

aside form the lounge... do OW golds get priority/business class check-in on Veuling flights, IB ticket number or no matter? thanks!

Vueling is not a member of OW so no loungeaccess. I think the only exception is if you have an IB-code in your BP and you're IB Platinum.

No priority check-in either. The Vueling queues are normally a zoo! Obviously if you print out your boarding pass ahead of time and don't check-in luggage you can skip all that, but otherwise you have to wait with the masses.

In fairness my last IB intra Europe flight was in business and as a sapphire I still didn't get priority boarding. I figured IB just doesn't care.
