DONEW3 routing advice please?
 
Hello,

I am looking at a DONEW3 routing ex South Africa heading to Hong Kong and then Australia. When I get to Australia I want to visit some of the tropical islands such as Fiji, New Caledonia, Tahiti etc.

My question is:

Qantas sell code share flights on Air Pacific, there is a QF flight number - QF395 but it is on Air pacific metal. As part of a DONEW3 can I get on that flight? Melbourne - Nadi - Melbourne.

If the above is allowed does the following routing work?

CPT-JNB-DBN-JNB-HKG-PEK
PVG-HKG-SIN-MEL-NAN-MEL-BNE-MEL(buy this ticket)-SYD-JNB-CPT

Is the above routing OK? I will catch the train between Shanghai and Beijing.

I assume you mean a circle trip explorer, DONEWC3.
No you can't use the air pacific operated flight on a circle trip explorer. See:
F. Travel is not permitted on any codeshare services other than those operated by AY/BA/CX/IB/JL/KA/LA/MA/NU/QF/RJ/S7.
Other codeshare services not permitted with the exception of QF Codeshare services operated by Jetstar (JQ).
Additionally, travel permitted on the following airlines which are affiliated with/or wetlease providers
to oneworld.

British Airways BA CityFlyer including flights operated by Flightline, Comair,
Sun-Air of Scandinavia

Iberia Airlines Air Nostrum, Gestair

Japan Airlines J-Air

Malev Base Ltd

Qantas Alliance Airlines, QantasLink operated by Eastern Australia, Jetconnect, National Jet Systems, and Sunstate Airlines

Siberia Airlines Globus

Ground transportation services operated by/for BA/QF may not be included as part of the Oneworld Circle Trip Explorer.
As with a oneworld explorer your surface transits between airports will count as part of your segment limit.

Does Qantas Alliance Airlines constitute Jetstar and JetConnect? I read that earlier and thought they may have included the airlines I mentioned in my previous post.

No. You mentioned Air Pacific in your previous post. Alliance Airlines is a separate affiliate. The quote listed each oneworld airline and each affiliate. So Qantas has the following affiliates whose services you can use:
Alliance Airlines
QantasLink operated by Eastern Australia
Jetconnect
National Jet Systems
Sunstate Airlines

Jetstar Metal can be used (for L class), but only when booked with the QF codeshare flight number:
F.

However, this isn't helpful when booking a D class OW product. JQ does not have a D bucket, nor does the QF code. Thus you can only book into L.

eg:
JQ flight SIN-MEL (just looking at today's availability...)
