AA EQM earning on JAL?
I can't seem to get a definitive answer on the AA board, so I thought I would ask over here.
I'm trying to figure out how many EQMs I earn for flying JAL flights (non-AA codeshare). I'm looking at V class. The chart on AA.com says 70% mileage accrual percentage and 1 EQP per mile earned. What is the EQM per mile? I would have assumed the EQMs for this class would be 70%, but would like confirmation given AA's EXP desk tells me that all JAL flights, regardless of booking class, earn 100% EQMs and that the chart on aa.com is in regards to RDMs not EQMs. Can someone please chime in to provide assistance? Thanks, |

Thanks, From aa.com: Elite Status Miles or Segments Qualifying miles or segments are the actual miles or segments you earn on eligible purchased tickets for flights aboard American Airlines, American Eagle, AmericanConnection, AAdvantage participant airlines and/or American Airlines codeshare flights (ticket must reflect an American Airlines coded flight number), including applicable minimum mileage guarantees. Member must fly at least four segments on American Airlines, American Eagle or AmericanConnection to qualify for AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum or AAdvantage Gold status within the qualifying year. Qualifying miles do not include class-of-service bonus miles, other participant miles or any other AAdvantage bonus mileage. Miles purchased through buyAAmiles and giftAAmiles do not qualify for elite status. Discount Economy Class B, E, H, K, L, M, Q**, V, S 70% 1.00 |
Thanks. That is what I thought, but since AA.com does not say EQMs in the chart listing the mileage accrual rules and EXP told me differently, I wanted confirmation.

I received only 50% of the miles flown on JAL for both EQM and RDM

What class were you booked in?

Possibly: Discount Economy Class G, N, O, R, Q** 50% .50 |
Right, I know what the chart on AA.com says (and doesn't say, e.g., EQM), but I just wanted to get confirmation given the EXP desk says something different.
I think I have my answer. I will not receive 100% AA EQMs for a discount economy ticket on JAL. Thanks, |
