oneworld Explorer minimum stay rule

Hello from a first-time poster.

I am considering the oneworld RTW product for three full months of summer travel, but the 10 day min stay requirement will seriously impact the flexibility of my itinerary.

Is there any way around that requirement? Is anyone aware of a waiver?

(I am EXP with ~400K miles)

It isn't 10 days per stop, it's 10 days between departure and return.

eg SYD-NRT-LHR-FRA-JFK-LAX-SYD
I can spend as long as I want in Tokyo, London, Frankfurt, New York and Los Angeles as I want, as long as there is at least 10 days between leaving and returning to Sydney.

I think Himeno gave you the correct answer.
In case you really wan tto do a RTW in less than 10 days: there is a way around;
Instead of doing JFK-LHR-HKG-NRT-LAX-JFK (as an example) you can do

JFK-LHR-HKG-NRT-LAX-BOS, then later BOS-SFO-JFK. Buy a BOS-NYC as a seperate ticket. You have a second (almost free) trip and get around the 10 days minimum.

Erm ... except that LAX-BOS, BOS-SFO and SFO-JFK looks like three transcons and the xONEx ticket is limited to one.

cheers,

Henry

Welcome to FT, zachf!

As others have said, its 10 days for the trip, not per stop. And even then, there are some scenarios where you don't even have the minimum of 10 days if you really want to do it in less.

No you can't. Other than transcon restriction, following rule porhibits this itinerary.

Travel on the last international sector must commerce no earlier than 10 days after commencement of the first international sector.

The only exception is for people starting from Japan, Hong Kong and SWP in J and F.
