F Lounge in MEL
Hi all
I am flying in F MEL/SYD/LAX/JFK on 29 Dec. I am writing as to what is the best lounge for an F class passenger to use in MEL. I know at the transit in SYD it is clearly the excellent NZ lounge which i have been to many times. This is the first time though from MEL. Merry Christmas |

Merry Christmas If so, you will have access to the domestic business lounge I'm the MEL QF domestic terminal. There is no F between MEL and SYD. If you were flying MEL - LAX QF in F, you have have access to the excellent QF F lounge in MEL. |

And assuming you will be on a domestic flight MEL-SYD (QF4xx) in J Class then MEL - QF Domestic Business lounge SYD - QF First Lounge (definitely not the NZ lounge) LAX - QF TBIT Frist Lounge during layover |

QF F Lounge MEL !!!
If you have access, the Qantas First lounge in MEL is pretty fabulous.... equal to or exceeds the one in SYD.
As an aside, I just transited HKG, and the WING F lounge seems a bit dated. (No wall hooks in shower, lukewarm water in sink when I shaved, no bacon with eggs at breakfast). |

I now prefer the Cabin over the Wing (including its F section).

I saw the Cabin on the airport map. Is that new? Just, I didn't have a gate for my ongoing flight yet, and the Wing is right by after security, so very convenient. I did go to The Pier First Class when I got my gate, and it seemed nicer, less crowded for sure. Will try the Cabin in future.

In which case the Sydney QF F lounge is far better than then NZ lounge. There's a sit down restaurant, as well as the Payot spa that you'd be entitled to book a session with if you are travelling in F. Has an excellent view of the main north-south runway as well |
