Iberia and BA flight
Hi guys,
Hi guys, this is my first post after being reading for a long time, just to note that this is a great place! This year I'm choosing two oneworld companies to travel to the USA Iberia and BA. My flight path is BIO-MAD-LHR-LAX and the return one the same but backwards.... BTW I'm going on WT... if there was a way to upgrade the Y category ticket to a WT+ for the long flight.... This a re the flight codes BIO-MAD: IB435 Departure 8:35am GMT+1, arrival 9:35am GMT+1 MAD-LHR: BA457 Departure 12:45 gmt+1, arrival 2:00PM GMT LHR-LAX: BA269 departure 4:05 GMT arrival..... The other way round LAX-LHR: BA268 LHR-MAD: BA7059 (OP by IB3171) MAD-BIO: IB424 I have some questions about this trip. 1- will the baggage be checked in BIO to LAX and I'll get the baggage back (hopefully) in LAX? (btw, for this kind of flight is it better to check in online or on site?) 2- will the connection time be enough to change terminal in LHR(I arrive to the 3rd and leave from the 5th? 3- this is more of a curiosity... but I really want to have a good view in the BA269 flight to LA, which would be a good window seat? would it be in the right side or left side ( for good views going westbound) Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it! |
Welcome to Flyertalk ilauzirika, I can answer two of your questions, hopefully others will be able to answer the third...
1. When you check-in at Bilbao, the agent should check your bags all the way through to LAX – particularly if this itinerary is all on the same ticket/booking reference (even if they were separate bookings, there is no reason they wouldn't be able to through check your bags on this itinerary between IB and BA). 2. When you arrive at LHR T3, you will simply need to follow the transit/transfer channel, which is clearly signed. You will be directed to a bus transfer which will take you directly to T5. These are very regular and quite quick, so two hours should be plenty of time to make your connection. Hope this helps. |
Thank you!
I've never been in the 5th terminal in LHR....it's always great to get to know new places:D
