Global Explorer / Passenger name question
Hey
I recently booked a Global Explorer RTW ticket and because you can't do that online I had to use a travel agency. After I got the booking numbers I tried to log in to my bookings online on the airlines' websites to select seats etc. At CX/QF/IB the passenger name is written as Firstnamemr Lastname instead of Mr Firstname Lastname how they usually do. Only on BA it is correctly written as Mr Firstname Lastname. The passenger name on the CX e-ticket says LASTNAME/FIRSTNAMEMR. I'm not sure now if the travel agent has not correctly entered my name or if it just shows up wrong because it was not booked through the airlines' website... Any ideas? Thanks for your help! |
No need to worry as some airline computer systems omit the space between first name and title.
SMITH/JOHN MR in one computer system may show up as SMITH/JOHNMR in another. |
Why do they even need a 'title'?

They need to be able to differentiate sex and there are plenty of gender neutral names plus names where someone may not be able to tell. Using the standard honorific should do this plus enter the appropriate title of the passenger
