Vouchers on Mexicana
 

Back in late February I was bumped from a Mexicana flight that resulted in a 24-hour delay. I was given a voucher for $400 that could be used on any Oneworld Alliance airline. However, unlike every other time I have received a voucher from other arilines, Mexicana requires you to go to their office, submit the paperwork you received when you were bumped, and THEN you receive the voucher. In other words, they do not give you the voucher at the time you were bumped. I went to Dulles in March to submit this paperwork, but no one was there, and I was told by another airline that Mexicana's agents are usually there from 8-3. I finally made it back to IAD last week and was told that the paperwork to receive the voucher expired after 3 months and they could not give me a voucher. The agent submitted a complaint to customer service on my behalf, but I have yet to hear from anyone.

Am I out of luck? Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
