Rebooking options at Heathrow?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently at LHR and am on an AONE4 booked through the AA RTW Desk.

I need to change the dates of my flights and delay by one day, but the AA desk is currently closed.

Should I pop over to T3 and get the AA ticketing desk to change my flights, or wait until the AA desk opens in the US? The AA desk opens after my next scheduled flight, so is there any penalty for a no-show?

Urgent replies would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If you booked your ticket in the last few months then there are no show penalties. So I'd get AA ticketing to try to do it.

I would assume that the rebooking fee after a no show will apply to the OP's ticket, he should do something before the flight.

Ooops - time flies! And the memory gets dim.

solved

took the transfer over to T3 and went to the AA desk. Rebooking done and they moved me onto an oversold flight from SFO-JFK and took care of the LHR-SFO no problem.

Changes to AONE4

If you are going to do RTW regularly, I think it is a good idea to carry the local numbers for the ticket offices in Europe, JNB, and Seoul (for example). That way if you get stuck somewhere where the RTW desk is closed in your current location, you can talk to one on the other side of the world where they are in regular office hours. In a pinch, you can also contact the One World Help Desk. Any One World ticket agent should be able to connect with them (you will probably have to insist, but they can do it.)

Here are the ones I carry (there may have been some changes, but these were the latest I've had:
US (800) 247-3247
Seoul +822-733-4154
S. Africa +272721-440 6440

The AONE4,5,6 is still a useful product. It is no longer the deal that they used to be, but for people who do multiple continent flying it sure beats regular F round trips.

Suggest the above numbers go in a Sticky (ideally in the OW thread given the number of AA issued OWE, maybe a collection of various numberS)

A few more I have collected
Brisbane +61 7 3329 6060
London +44 207 365 0777

And the most important number
UK Tarriff Dept (does all pricing bar US issues, think actually in Dublin)
+44 208 577 4964
