OneWorld 101 (xONEx help)
 

First, and foremost, who/how is the best way to get in touch with a rep to confirm a oneworld ticket(s) reservation? I have placed an Itinerary on the OneWorld site, and there are lots of exceptions I need to talk through.

Also, I have to think there are more flight options available than are being provided on the site.

Also - I am hoping my base path to be the following...

NY - Casablanca (ferry/rail to Barcelona) - Tokyo - India - Thailand/Vietnam - Argentina

Is this going to be a problem because I placed Tokyo before India?

If I understand correctly you have entered an itinerary in the online xONEx around the world booking tool, and you are getting error messages?

What are the error messages? I can guess at some of them from the information you have provided.

When you enter the next destination in the tool it searches on the specific date for direct flights as well as flights via the hubs with a "reasonable" connection time. Very short and long connections are not returned. So you can sometimes find more flights by varying the dates, and by breaking the search down into smaller segments. Eg instead of searching say Delhi to Bangkok, neither of which is a hub, try Delhi to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to Bangkok separately. Repeat for other cities as transit points eg Tokyo, Singapore.

On xONEx fare (unlike some other around the world fares) it is okay to backtrack within a continent. Tokyo and India are in the same continent.

You start in North America and finish in South America. You need to return to the continent you started in.

There are no flights between Asia and South America. The only options are to route through Australia/NZ, or through North America. Going via North America is not an option for you because you began your itinerary in North America (once you return to the continent of origin you cannot travel to another continent), with one exception. There is a flight from Tokyo to Sao Paulo on Japan Airlines. If you can find availability on that flight all the way through then technically you are not travelling via North America.

xONEx online tool is where I assumed you were planning an itinerary.

Oneworld do not issue tickets. Only airlines issue tickets. The Oneworld site will default to the airline of your first segement:- talk to that airline.

Thanks for the information, again. The good news is I was at the correct site. The bad news is I keep getting the following error message...

"You have returned to your point of origin, but you must change parts of your itinerary. Note the warning messages and update your itinerary accordingly."

But I only have 15 of 16 used... What am I missing?

It would be helpful if you could post your exact itinerary - without that it is almost impossible for anyone to help you determine the problem, other than simply guessing - you may have too many segments in one continent, not be counting segments correctly etc. etc.

Going from NY to Casablanca, you are presumably leaving from JFK - and flying where? To MAD? What route are you taking from Barcelona to Tokyo (BCN-NRT)? I doubt there is a direct flight and I'm not sure even IB flies direct from Madrid to NRT, so you would probably have to take BA via LHR, or AY via HEL (or, it appears, JL via AMS). Without knowing what itinerary you have proposed, it's difficult to determine why it doesn't work.

To follow up on this with your itinerary:
Land segments, such as Casablanca -ferry/rail- Barcelona, under the rules count as segments for a oneworld explorer ticket. Posting your entire itinerary as tt7 suggests would make it easier to critique.

You can transit thru N.A from Asia to S.A without transiting through the COUNTRY OF ORIGIN(not Conitinent).

Transiting through the continet of origin is not prohibited.

USA exception for international depature/arrival
 

I checked the rule, found an exception for US case

EXCEPTION: Two permitted for origin USA when one arrival-departure is a
transfer without stopover.
NOTE - travel between USA and Canada is not counted as international.
