gaining Oneworld status by showing your Staralliance or Skyteams?
Hi everybody!
I am a newcomer here, so I apologize if my question has been already answered somewhere.
I read on an Italian newspaper an advertisement stating that Oneworld is offering to acknowledge in its programs an equivalent status (silver, gold) if you show to possess an equivalent status in another alliance's program.
I did not find any mention of this on their website, though; is anyone of you able to indicate me a relevant link?
thanks
Gigi

Hi Gigi, and welcome to FlyerTalk!
Here's the link you're after:
http://www.oneworld.com/privilegi/en/
It only applies to frequent flyers based in Italy.
There's a FT thread related to this which you may be interested in checking out:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/onewo...-italy-pr.html
I'm trying this myself, hope it works... Best of luck!

Twin possibilities
Brilliant, thank you!
I'll keep you informed about the progress of my application there.
Actually, I've got a twin honour:
a Lufthansa Senator rank (Staralliance Gold) and a Alitalia Freccia Alata Plus rank (Skyteams Gold, or higher?).
Which should I use in your opinion for best success c/o Oneworld?
bye

Welcome to FT gigi.
Looks like you also have to take a flight out of Italy on a Oneworld airline. Its not simply a status match, more like a mini challenge
