Sydney (and Queenstown NZ) Lodging Help
Hi there.....Have finally booked flights and moving on to lodging. I have a beach house reserved in Cairns. I am looking for a place with three old friends might share a room or apartment. We dont need three bedrooms, just three beds. Have looked at the Oaks Maestri Towers in Sydney...any feedback on them? Other suggestions for us for Sydney??? Queenstown???
Would appreciate your help!!! Now that I have booked plane tickets it feels like the whole thing is really happening.

Oaks is fine, modern, clean, good location but not the best, depends what you want, price for 4 will be $250-300/night. Better would run $400-500 for 2BR. Personally I would prefer Medina or one of the apts by Star casino for modern, or older building in Darling Harbour or even Bondi Junction if you wanted modern and better value, but it isn't for everyone. For Queenstown better book early as there won't be many properties matching what you want and it will sell out.

RE: Queenstown accommodation
I've been a few times and have stayed in a mixture of hotels and holiday rental accommodation. Without doubt, the best deal is to go for holiday rentals.
Here is a review I wrote about the last place we stayed at.
You can search for holiday rentals through www.holidayhouses.co.nz/ or www.bookabach.co.nz but we always use A Touch of Spice who have always been really good to us.
