NW with orbitz
 

i am on a booked package with three others to MSY this weekend. Never booked with orbitz before.

i see my reservation on NW.com and it recogizes my plat number. Are my chances for upgrade the same if I am piled into the same rez as the other three?

in my CO days , people said to split the rez for a bettre chance

I got my elite upgrade last December for a nwa flight booked on Orbitz. I noticed that nwa picks up my WorldPerks number just fine, and I get the flight updates from Orbitz, too.

Do not believe DL's promise that "You best buy is always on DL.com or nwa.com" I have found the same multi-segment flights occasionally price out cheaper on Orbitz.

In theory, your upgrade odds for you alone are the same as for you + one companion. Plat companion upgrade is for one person only. If you had put the three companions on the same reservation, I don't know how that would have worked.

If any of the others on your reservation are non-elite, you will not get upgraded. You need to split your reservation. If you're on NW metal then you probably want to keep one other person on the reservation with you to take advantage of the confirmed companion upgrade benefit.
