NW/DL vs UA fare to Asia

UA has constant on sale fare to Asia since late summer. But surprisingly, NW/DL just ignores UA's on sale fare and insists on their high price (difference more $200) for most US-Asia city pairs.

I think NW/DL just dreams of selling the seats for those high fares.

Any thoughts?

Yes: fly UA. You can use the price difference to purchase E+ seats. Or you can just keep it. :)

they're also "ignoring" the DEQM promo among other things. pretty hilariously arrogant bunch down there in atlanta.

Are you referring to lowest discount fares? I've found NW to be same or cheaper than UA this summer (May, June, and July trips MCI-SIN via MSP/DTW & NRT), BUT I've been booking "lowest refundable" fares b/c my schedule changes. NW was in the $1800 to $2400 RT vs. $2200 to $3600 range for UA via ORD & NRT.
