Upgrade waitlist changes?
Hi all, this is my first thread and I am not up to speed on all of the acronyms and abbreviations.
I called NW elite line to upgrade a SIN-NRT-ATL on Sept. 24th. Tried SWU first.. no go, then tried miles..no go. Asked to be put on upgrade waitlist, the agent futzed around for about 5 minutes then told me I could only be waitlisted for the SIN-NRT leg, couldn't waitlist the NRT-ATL because it was Delta. I found it odd as I was able to waitlist and got upgrades from SIN-NRT-PDX in which NRT-PDX is now Delta less than a month ago. Any ideas on how to upgrade the NRT-ATL leg? |
The difference between PDX-NRT and ATL-NRT (besides the origin city, duh) is how the flight is marketed. PDX-NRT, although run with Delta equipment, is marketed and sold as a NW primary flight (NW785). ATL-NRT, on the other hand, is marketed as a DL primary flight. You can't waitlist for DL primary flights at this time.
