I totally agree, especially for ex-NW elites, I have lost count on all we've lost. Lots of small things we had come to take for granted and so seemingly insignificant that only their loss made you think about it. And most irritating is that there is very little that makes us NW elites feel welcome with DL. Wouldn't it have been easy enough to immediately give us equivalent level on DL? That would have solved a lot of issues with upgrading, elite treatment, SMS line etc. Why does the NW<->DL transfer have to end on 8/31? Was that too beneficial to be able to choose? It seems we're DL when we want to spend our money but still NW when looking for any benefit. We really had it good with NW, DL does not even come close.

Forget money costing promotions to bring in more business, spreading rumors works just as well. :p

Did I say something wrong there?

That's how it's been written. But you have to wonder if there will be enough Diamonds to keep a separate call center open.

When each DM goes back to the mad abuse of booking and cancelling hundreds of award tix, then the call center will be justified.

The brochure also says "Dedicated Phone Line****" and then lists the Priority bla bla bla.

So maybe all elites are getting a VIP-ish line and Diamonds are getting VIP-2?

I'm going to hit plat in about 2 weeks here, and I will be very sad if I lose Chisholm, the few times I've actually needed to call them (as a gold) the response has been nothing short of amazing.

Good work Delta, I'll be Platnium for 2010, but with all of this, I really am losing incentive to re qualify for 2011.

Sigh.

Had a big DL irregularity recently at DCA; DL agent defined the word "useless." Chisholm would have had me on my way in minutes.

Just booked my next transatlantic. On LH. Not gonna put 50k more into this...

I would think it's more like this:
Silver: Priority. You get routed to any call center.
Gold: Higher priority. You also get routed to any call center.
Platinum: Highest priority. You also get routed to any call center.
Diamond: VIP Line. You get routed to Chisholm and Cincinnati only and potentially to a handful of agents who are selected to work with Diamonds only.

Sure, this is all still speculation based on rumors :)

These changes have been announced to Employees, they are not rumors ....
You are almost correct, However...Gld/Plat/Diamond are all routed to IRC and CVG.....Within those call ctrs there will be specific agents skilled to answer Diamond Calls with a back-up of Gold/Plat...

So at these levels you will always get a knowledgeable agent who has priority if they need to call an assist desk etc....
Less hold time for the customer and less for the agent trying to help with difficult issues will make the entire experience better....

You will not lose Chisholm and will also get CVG at times as well...As far as hours of operation, these things can/will chance once the Union Representation is worked out...Current work rules with the IAM cause problems when a call ctr is open more then 19.5 hrs! Chisholm could become 24hrs after thats resolved if necessary...

I guess I'm off to consult my Magic 8 ball again. It was spot on for this one :) Thanks for the confirmation.

Speaking of the Diamond VIP line, does anyone have it? I received my "charter membership" package but didn't see the number in it. If I call the plat number, will it automatically transfer me to the Diamond office? Thanks.

The number is on the back of your new DM card, although calling the PM number (or even any DL res number) and entering your number is supposed to forward instantly to the Diamond Desk. However, when I call the old NW PE number, how my call is handled seems to depend on whether I enter my old NW PW number or the DL SM number. Guess which numbers I have memorized?

(smacks self in head) Duh. Didnt' even think of looking there. Thanks.
