Flight Change - Options?
 

I have a multi-city trip starting Thursday with the following itinerary...

8/27 MSP-DFW
8/30 DFW-JFK
9/2 JFK-SYR
9/4 SYR-JFK
9/4 JFK-MSP

My issue is with changing the DFW-JFK leg. NWA wants 1300.00 to move that leg up one day to Saturday. I could book a new one way DFW-JFK for 141.00 but I'm pretty sure they would cancel the rest of my itinerary.

Are there any other options that I'm not thinking of?

how is the fare for this constructed? You can't make 2 stops, so I guess it's seperate fares for the outbound segments ... can't they reprice just one? 1300 sounds like an aweful lot of money and yes, they would cancel the ticket.

It was purchased as one multi-city itinerary with 3 stops.

You probably bought the ticket weeks ago with a 14 or 21 day advance purchase. Now it would be a ticket without a big advance purchase, e.g. big bucks to change.

Unfortunately you can't do anything except buy a new ticket if you absolutely must change anything but the last leg. Perhaps fly the first leg and buy an entire new ticket for the rest? Might or might not be cheaper.
