The only time I've ever been pulled for a secondary has been at DTW, admittedly, I've only re-entered the country airside about a dozen times, but they grilled me pretty hard after a 1 day MR to FRA, completely tore everything I ad apart and gave me the 2nd degree about the purpose of my trip, what I did for a living, and what I did in germany (I tried to explain the concept of a MR to them but they thought I must be hiding something.

Some are trained for real agricultural products to prevent disease introduction to the US. ^ I met the cute DTW beagle and his human a few years ago. Leaving FRA I used up my last coins to buy a wonderful German apple at the deli and enjoyed it about an hour into the flight. While enduring the typical DTW Long Wait for the checked bags, the beagle came down the pax line and stuck it's nose radar locked pinpoint on my backpack at the exact spot that apple had been inside, eight hours earlier. Don't mess with the DTW beagle, he's GOOD. :p
