WP Visa EQMs

Not that it matters much to me as I've already qualified for plat and have no real desire to go for DM, but has anyone had EQMs credited to their account from the old WP Visa yet? Just curious.

nope... i understand it is supposed to happen by the end of August.

Not that it matters?? Don't forget about rollover EQM's!

Nope, no miles for May, June or July yet, and no EQMs either. However, for those who did not jump to the new Delta AmEx, don't feel bad. Those promised bonus miles haven't posted yet either. Beginning to wonder if they ever will?

I'm patient, but..

End of August is two weeks away. Let's hope that the powers that be get this done - soon. This is flat out frustrating ... indicates my lack of trust towards corporate entities evidently. :D

How so? End of August has always been the date communicated once everything was settled in the winding down of the WorldPerks Visa program.

I have faith....

At this point, I am not concerned at all that the correct number of EQM's and RDM's will be posted by the end of August.

I already received the first 10,000 EQM's from US Bank, and am awaiting the second 10,000. As for RDM's, due to different closing dates, I am still awaiting the June miles from one WP Visa and the July miles from the other one. I have no doubt that these will post to the WP accounts eventually, and I am in no real need of them immediately so I am just watching and waiting. I see no reason to get uptight about it until Sept. 1 rolls around.

Meanwhile, I signed up for the DL SM AMEX, and have so far received 27,500 of the bonus miles that were promised. I am still waiting for the other 25,000 to post, which should occur this month. And I am also waiting for the "free companion ticket" that was a part of their offer. At this point, I am in no real need of either of these, so again I am just watching and waiting. But based on others' experience, I am just a little bit leary about AMEX coming through, so I am watching a little more carefully!

While the AMEX offer for the "free companion ticket" sounds like a nice deal, I am a bit miffed about the fine print restrictions that appear to apply: NO upgrades for either person and NO mileage accrual for either person. :( NW would never have been so Draconian, if this had been their promo!!

$576 To Come Off My WP Visa Spend for 2009 Soon

Well, when US Banks finally gets around to calculating my 2009 spend for the final EQM reward in a few days, they will be "reducing" my spend amount by $576.00. This is the amount I am going to contest for my 3 year WC/SC renewal (which doesn't kick in until November this year). I have HAD IT with the DOWNGRADED food offerings (proteins to carbs) in the SC's... so I am going to get my $$$ back! :td: :(

Actually the WP Visa did have a free companion ticket deal as a signup bonus a few years ago. The T&C's basically rendered it useless.

The credit card companies count on these having a low take up. The T&Cs are deliberatly designed that way.

Because...

IIRC, originally I thought it would be posted earlier; however that's not the point.

Because this is the last go around for WorldPerks, any issues could be very difficult to resolve. One in the hand is worth two in the bush is where I'm coming from on this promotion. Post them to my account and I'll be fine..:D

I can't fault your concern about working out errors, but the August 30 date was communicated as soon as the resolution between NW and US Bank was announced. I just found my e-mail from NW announcing the deal on 5/9/09, and it states that "EQMs will be posted by August 30, 2009."

If it hits midnight on August 30 and your EQMs still haven't posted, that will be the time to start worrying....

My miles just posted, but no EQM bonus yet.

Just say you bought a $10,000 item on your card - then returned it the next month. They couldn't claw back the miles on the next statement if things have wound down, right? I think they want the buffer so that all mileage claims are settled without extending it too long.

Plus there are operational issues that we are not privvy to. Naturally, the solution in place is not ideal - even for US Bank - but it the best overall one that they could come up with.
