The OP is a NW Plat... not a DL Plat... many DL agents treat that as "you are not one of us... you are a NW Nobody"

Matter Resolved
Fairness dictates that I report that the refund from Delta has finally been issued; my bank received the refund on 8/27 but it did not appear on-line for another couple of days. Sincere thanks to DeltaWebGuy for his major role in fixing this situation; without him I know it would not have gotten done. Now if I can only get an answer as why I was also hit with the extra $30 fee.
While dealing with this issue I encountered some individuals who suggested that as a matter of corporate policy Delta takes at least 60 days to cover account payables. My refund beat that estimate by a couple of weeks. But the old days are definitely gone. After weeks of being a squeaky wheel to get returned what never should have been taken from me in the first place I hardly have the energy to complain that Delta should do something to recognize the aggravation they've caused. Still, major kudos to Delta staff; they don't create the policies that are so irksome. |

Because of all this I wasnt on the upgrade list ahead of time either and ended up back in 38B!
The great irony of my adventure that day, was that I ended up on the same flight as Jeff Robertson and Bob Soukup (Bob was my seat mate). So I had some immediate feedback to DL/NW on the day *grin* Is it too much to hope that DL has a policy that all exec always fly in the back with us "common folk." |
Doesn't "Bait and Switch" imply some sort of intentional fraud? This sounds like a technology glitch that low-level customer-service representatives were unequipped to handle.
