WP on DL/AF...help me decipher
So I booked a flight from PIT-Bangalore (via CDG, of course) and I cannot decipher what FF program to use.
The main question is: Do I get full banked NW miles on an AF coded-DL operated flight? Or are there percentage reductions as NW clearly states on AF coded-AF operated flights? I cant find this answer anywhere. My assumptions using my WP number: -I get full miles regardless of class on AF coded-DL operated PIT-CDG (see above question) -I get 25% banked miles on CDG-BLR for flying in "L" -However, I get to collect the 10,000 mile promotion NW is running for PIT-CDG My assumptions using my Skymiles number: -I get full miles regardless of class on AF coded-DL operated PIT-CDG -I ALSO get full miles regardless of class on AF coded-AF operated CDG-BLR -DL is NOT running a promotion on PIT-CDG for Skymiles members Overall, it seems that my NW# is the best to use in this case? |

Full miles on DL-operated PIT-CDG. Try to book this as a DL flight if at all possible without the AF number; but it's not a requirement AFAIK. Yes, you get 25% EQM for the AF-operated "L" class flight CDG-BLR Yes, you get the 10,000 bonus miles. Again, it would be easier if it's booked as a DL flight number. It's not listed as a requirement in the T&C's but rather not leave it to chance. Re: DL Incorrect about AirFrance "L" class. AF "L" class earns ZERO miles in the SkyMiles program. (For reference: http://skymilesoffers.delta.com/airl....php#airfrance) I think Delta is running the same 10K bonus miles promotion for PIT-CDG but their website makes it incredibly difficult to find anything about promotions. NWA.com is much better at this. Hands down NW WP wins this one. -RM |

Delta is running the bonus promo.. however bank them to NW and then transfer to DL if necessary. |
