memosa?

I'll be in First class on an upcomming trip and was planning on drinking a couple of Memosa's....is that even an available choice? Anyone?

thezipper Jun 5, 2009 2:25 pm

where are you flying?

mersk862 Jun 5, 2009 2:26 pm

I've had them before on international flights in F/J. Never domestically though - I don't think I've seen sparkling wine offered on DL (or NW) domestically in F since I really started flying about 5 years ago.

Why put the :td: in your title if you don't know the answer?

To answer the question, however:
- If you're flying internationally in WBC (not first class) there is a chance.
- If you're flying domestically in F (or to Canada/Carribean/Mexico), no chance.

Ahhh, unless they have changed it, I believe that HNL-MSP or vice versa you can get it! I have several times through the years!;):D Also, that is nice about AA, they have sparkling wine in FC domestically just as an FYI.

Safe Travels

dont know how that thumb thing down got there..

anyway,

AA? I'm flying NW..

Going to Vegas. As it is an early morning flight ( I wanted to star the celebration early for my vacation). However, it leaves Memphis at like 9 am and doesnt get into vegas until 11 am. Pretty early. I was thinking of "morning drinks" to take advantage of being in first.......

Just noting "AA" as an aside. Unless DL has changed the policy, the answer is no. You could get a bloody mary however.

mersk862 Jun 5, 2009 3:03 pm

No mimosas on domestic DL flights. The coffee drinks and bloody Mary's are the ones I've seen most people go for in the morning.

I believe DL does serve mimosas in F on Caribbean routes - I've gotten them on these flights in the past.

Bailey's (or rather, now Starbucks Liquer) and coffee, a bloody mary, or a screwdriver are your choices for traditional "morning" drinks.

Enjoy your flight!

They only have sparkling wine on international flights available on boarding. I asked for a mimosa and they just mixed it right there between the already poured wine and OJ.

As of January, sparkling wine was an option on my ATL-STT flights, so I think it might be available on Carribean/Mexico segments even though those flights are somewhat considered "domestic."

MEM FA Jun 6, 2009 2:06 pm

I swear I looked at that and thought "We're gonna start a MEM-OSA (Osaka) route??" lol. But to answer your question, we don't have sparkling wine on domestic flights but you can have a variety of mixed drinks, wine and beer so you will be a able to get your Vegas party on before you get there. Just a warning though, legally we have to cut you off if you appear drunk so behave yourself and you should have a good flight.

I'd say go with a bloody mary. Screwdriver is also an option if you need the healthy feeling of OJ with your alcohol. ;)

Make it a double! I'm not very particular myself when it comes to V and OJ...but when it comes to a Bmary I am.. I like it made to order in just the right way...and am easily disappointed if it doesn't taste right to me. So i would likely gravitate towards the screwdriver since it's sooo much harder to screw up a drink like that on a plane.... like i said and make it a double.
