MEM-LAS First Class
Hello all,
I recently booked a trip from Memphis to Sin City as part of a bachelor party for a friend of mine. Leaving on a thursday and will be in First class. NW is advertising this as a A319 a/c. What can I expect as far as service, amenities, food, etc ( I think its about a 3-4 hr flight)??? I was hoping to get an early "drink on", but the flight leaves Memphis at 830 am or so and gets into LAS around 1030 or 11..prob little to early :)....The only first class experience I've had was on a DAL 757 from ATL-SLC. Thanks! |
It'll be a breakfast flight, which at that hour means it's going to be a bowl of cereal, some fruit, a breakfast bread (either croissant/bagel/etc.). Hot meals are gone from this route now (it comes in at 1416 miles). I've seen quite a few people drink on the morning flights to LAS - Bloody Mary's are a popular option on those morning flights to LAS.

Feel free to order alchohol on your flight; you're going to Vegas baby! The FA's are probably more relaxed about loading up the PAX, since they will most likely be taking cabs and limos to their hotels or getting picked up. If you want to keep the party going after you arrive at the airport, check out the new, El Presidente' Club located near gate D33 (take the elevator up). They have quite the impressive selection of fine wines (and spirits which they keep locked up in a cage that is overflowing). Nice staff too! ^ :) Enjoy and welcome to Vegas! -A P.S. Why not take in the Louie Anderson "Larger Than Life" show over at the Excaliber. It runs during the week (it's dark on Friday and Saturday)? You can pick up tickets for about $27.00 at the cheap ticket place outside of the MGM Grand by the Big Coke Bottle. |

thanks for the replies...2 more ?s
1. So there is no audio/visual at all on this flight? 2. Will I be able to go into the sky club in MEM or whatever they call it now for free since I have a first class fare to LAS , or would I still have to buy the on day pass? Thanks |
1. No, not on any of the Airbus narrowbodies.
2. You still need the day pass. Domestic first class (except from JFK to the west coast) doesn't qualify for free access. |

Can you let me know the minimum length of a domestic flight on NW/DL FC in order to get the omlette? I thought they just did away with the hot breakfasts all together in domestic.

It's now 1500 miles or more will get you a hot meal, at least for breakfast and dinner. Another Deltafication. :(
|
haha, is that true?
|
Re. hot meals aka omelets
Been flying from SAN to MSP the last couple of weeks and you get a choice of:
hot breakfast or cereal, etc. Little over 1500 miles (1532) No video/audio other than your IPOD, but the service makes up for it ;) |
so...because MEM-LAS is listed as 1410...only 90 miles short means no omlette? lol
|
hmm...now they are listing as it being an A320 a/c instead of a A319...anything change service-wise?
|
No. A320 = A319 + 24 coach seats.
