Delta 747-400 at PDX
We seldom see a 747 in Portland, except for an occasional China Air cargo or Korean Air cargo. So it was quite a surprise to see a Delta 747-451 tucked away on the east side of the airport, well away from passenger gates. Of course, it was a Northwest aircraft newly repainted, since the tail number was N676NW.
Anyone know what it was doing there? |
That plane has been doing military charters along the west coast lately.

I have a picture of it at PDX, but it won't let me upload it here. Any reason why? Maybe because I'm new?

If you'd like, you can send me a link to the picture and I'd be more than happy to put it up with a credit in your name (can't directly upload pictures to FT). Welcome to Flyertalk, though! |
Oh good, I thought that was a 747 I saw yesterday. I knew if I came here someone would have some information on it. I was driving home from Seattle over the I-205 bridge and saw it parked on the north side of the airport over by the Flightcraft hangers. The strangest thing was to see it painted out as a Delta plane...I am still not used to seeing that.

Well it let me use the image button, but when I went to submit it, it said that a moderator had to approve it... So mods, can you take a look and approve it? Thanks.
