Expiring Miles Sux

Post like this just make me feel ill:
We've gone from a company that really tried hard to make a great frequent flyer program work for people ... to Delta, a morally bankrupt behemoth that will wipe your account off the slate without batting an eye.

Ditto / +1

I lost all my SlyMiles in the same manner a while back

I only had about 18k, but all the same....

We'll see what happens with WP and the 'new' SlyMiles.

It wasn't too long ago that I helped a coworker retrieve a long dormant WP account w/ 17K miles. That and trip to Istanbul turned him into a much more serious customer.

Wouldn't happen today with DL. If the miles were irretrievably gone, I'd just refer him to CO or WN.

Nah, can't just spend a few bucks for something you need via the Skymall and keep the account active and right now they're throwing in 1,000 bonus miles.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think anyone outside the US could use SkyMall? Maybe they do accept CC's from other countries and ship overseas?

I always find SkyMall a far more entertaining read than the NW magazine (who buys some of this stuff??!!!) but I always thought it was for US residents only.

Are you confusing the order forms on the plane with the on line shopping mall?

Big difference, but then DTW is north of the border with Canada

OP was lazy and saved two precious ascii character codes. However, if you feel misled and have something to say about SUX (the airport), have at it.

It wouldn't be so bad if FT didn't eliminate the last 2 caps if someone uses only SUX as a title making the airport code look like Sux.

I too, was wondering what the OP was posting about SUX, not sucks.

Am wondering when us OLD WP people will be hit with this "new" Delta SM rule. Has anyone seen anything on it?
Lost almost 24K SM last year without any warning at least US warned me and I ordered a mag and kept miles.

I will say that it SUCKS for all you SUX people.

Expiring miles are no fun whether you are in SUX, LAX, JAX, or even TEX, MEX or LEX

(Sorry, drank a 750ml bottle of Westmalle Triple by myself for dinner so I am am little silly tonight)
