I second the French Meadow Bakery suggestion at MSP. There are two; one is about the size of a Starbucks and the other is a full-sized restaurant. Very tasty!

The sushi place at DTW, Sora, is quite good. Actual sushi bar/restaurant, not a pre-packaged joint. Given the number of Japan pax coming thru DTW that's probably why they do a good job with it.

Don't forget to check out the MSP bathrooms.

Haha!

SpinzCity mentioned pinball, but they also have a Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga combo game on the F concourse in the arcade. :)

>>>>>In MSP you can try to find some of the old Northwest Orient signage...

And speaking of "As The Northwest Orient Turns" saga, be sure to get a NW baggage tag at check in (you know, the red and white things that you write your name and home address on).

I plan to use my NW baggage tag for flights well into the 2030's, or, perhaps, 2050's. I HOPE it doesn't fray or deteriorate in any way. Maybe I should pick up a second one, just in case?

I have always enjoyed a treat from Dairy Queen. A blizzard with cherry dip and oreos. That makes the wait go a little better.

If you're up for planespotting, MSP has an indoor observation deck at Concourse D. ^

+1 on DTW's Sora. :D
