WorldGear Store To Close on 1/15/09
Just got off the phone with a rep at the WorldGear store. She says that they're not sure how much longer they'll be kept open and that it's possible that they may close at the end of the month. She also says that they're experiencing pretty high sales, so if there's something you want give them a call so they can pull it and ship it. (Five-logo t-shirts are out of stock but I was able to waitlist for one. YMMV)

I also just got off the phone -- they called because an item I ordered was out of stock and they called to offer a different color.

I actually feel inclined to purchase a momento of all of my travels on the Red Tails.
I'm thinking a few plastic models of NW aircraft would look nice in my home office. Perhaps a 744 & A330. I wish they had a model DC-9, but oh well.

A friendly bump. SO gave me an A333 for an X-mas gift... She says that the WorldGear folks says if you want one of those fancy airplane models, you'd better order soon. Apparently things are selling out fast...

Anyone have the document holder or passport holder? What material is it? Can't really tell the size nor material on line....

I tried to order the 1 to 1 scale of the 747-400, and they seemed to be out of the ones for sale.

Talked to an employee on Tuesday who said that they have stopped ordering and are simply replacing stock to satisfy existing orders. The end is near.

It isn't on the www site anymore, but I was able to get one of the metal thread luggage tags -- quite elegant.
