LAX-SLC?
 

Trying to book LAX to SLC (Salt Lake City) in early November and NWA is coming up no go, no matter how I slice it.

The route maps indicate it's doable, but I just can't find a ticket - coach, first, any way possible.

Ideas?

Try Delta. SLC is a hub, LAX is a focus city.

I don't think NW flies SLC-LAX, and since they're so close you will likely have a hard time finding fares that will actually let you travel between the two on NW. It would mean basically SLC-MSP-LAX or SLC-MEM-LAX which are waaay the hell out of the way and probably blow the MPM on any fares between the two cities.

Route maps are most likely indicating that NW codeshares on this route - the caveat is that you need to have a NW-metal flight somewhere on the itinerary to be able to book the codeshare. For example, you could price out MSP-SLC-LAX on NW, with MSP-SLC on NW metal and SLC-LAX on DL metal, but just doing SLC-LAX wouldn't work.

Booking through DL is your best bet for this one. WN also does SLC-LAS non-stop.
