Upgrade and Standby Waitlists Now on NWA.com
For about 15 minutes this morning, there was a button in the Manage Your Reservations area where I could see the status of upgrade and standby waitlists. It was gone by mid-afternoon.

Mobile or regular?
|
Mmm hmm, wonder if that was a test of a new feature that'll be added soon? That would be outstanding... :D
|
Yes, yes, of course. And for 15 minutes this morning I had dancing girls on my raspberry.
I mean blackberry. |
I thought they were working on something ala CO.com so the waitlist / upgrade list (similar to whats on the new gate monitors) would be available on-line. Sounds like they are in beta testing on it... now thats EXCITING! :D

No screen shot? Darn!

And now we should all swarm the one gate lice (or is it louse? :p) with the blackberry (to see the list on his/her screen) who usually swarms the gate to see the UG list because he/she will be checking their blackberry while checking the gate list simultaneously. :D
Wow, that was a mouthful. |
I think it's working again. Cool.
|
This sounds great. From what I've read in the past, it seems like CO does this and people really appreciate it.
Are you able to see your own waitlist standing only, or are you also able to see a list of names which includes your location on the list (i.e. if traveling with friends or family you may see where they stand)? |
Yes... it's a new exciting enhancement!!
Northwest Airlines customers are now able to view their upgrade and standby status on nwa.com within 24 hours of their flight’s departure. If you have been added to a standby or upgrade list for a Northwest Airlines domestic flight, you will now be able to view your respective priority and monitor your status live within the ‘Manage my Reservation’ section on nwa.com.
|
Thanks for the confirmation Scoop! ^ to the best IT dept!

Great to hear. I must say, I sure hope NW's IT department runs the show at the New Delta.
nwa.com > delta.com by a long, long, long shot. |
Exciting!

3 weeks ago, I was stranded in ORD, all the CO flights to EWR were delayed for 6+ hours. I tried to standby for the earliest flight, so did everyone else. The terminal was a mess, the lines going up to the GAs were like 20 minutes long. Nobody knew what was going on, whether they are going to miss their connection, get to go home, etc. It was cool to go on the CO mobile site and see my name get move from standby list to standby list (the first flight I tried only had a few seats left and were taken by the plats). The flight I got on, I was #5 out of 57 on the standby list. I thought that was an awesome feature. I'm so glad NW caught on.

Can someone please take screen shots of these features and post them here? Since I almost never use standby and my EUA percentage on NW at the 6-day mark is 100% this year (except for last minute purchases), it will be awhile before I get to see this system in use.
Thanks, RM |
