Has anyone had Malaysia Airlines Successfully post to NWA account?
 

So i took 3 MH flights in March and none of them have posted to my NWA.com account yet.

Has anyone had these successfully post? I still do have my ticket stubs.

It's only like 1800 miles and no EQM.

I don't think they will. The large table on www.nwa.com looks like it "giveth", but the fine print "taketh away":

Earn miles on all Malaysia Airlines-operated flights with the exception of all domestic Malaysia flights, and flights booked in G, L, V or W class.
Redeem miles on all Malaysia Airlines-operated flights with the exception of flights between Australia and New Zealand.

I think the above means you can only redeem the miles earned on MH on MH.

So, I'm not sure where the miles are posted but they should be around somewhere. Hopefully yours will do you more good than mine will me. If you find where they are posted, maybe you would let me know?

I'm hoping I'm done with hard lessons this way, but probably not.....I learned mine on Malev, but apparently the same lesson.

It says Earning Banked Miles.........On any flights that not booked in G,L,V,W i was booked in B class on MH. I also was NOT on a domestic MH flight it was SIN-KUL, KUL-BKK, BKK-KUL.

To me i should earn miles but NOT EQM/EQS

To me as well. I would make photo copies of your stubs and mail them in, along with an itinerary. This has worked for me with inter-Asia KE flights.

I reckon that MH considers SIN-KUL a domestic segment. We are not even allowed to buy duty free stuff if flying on that route vv.

yes u can have non domestic MH flights post, with the exceptions of very low fare classes listed in prev post. I have had credit before on many segments. If u dont get the credit, just send a copy of ur ticket and BP to NWA cust service and u ll see credit in about 2 wks (had to do that for 1 segment)

HOw is that domestic, this is another country. Well they should count KUL-BKK than unless that is part of Malaysia now.

I've had to post in ticket stubs in the past to get credit for MH flights, but that has ended up working fine. They were for LON-PER flights, for what it's worth.

I had 2 MH flights in January post without any intervention. One of them was KUL-SIN, so don't worry, if your fare class recieves miles then you'll get them for that flight, it is indeed international.

Check your boarding passes to see if FQTV is printed on them. That's the indication that some frequent flyer # was in the reservation.

Give it some time before worrying, I think mine took a good 3 weeks to post.

What?? If that's the case, they need to advise us the same.

AFAIK, flying outside of Malaysia should be considered as non-domestic travel :rolleyes:

I have had KUL-SIN flights posted in the past. It does count.

I've also gotten duty free goods also but I believe there is a minimum stay requirement (72-hours?). It's got something to do with people who work on one side of the border but live on the other - not an uncommon requirement. That said, they're pretty easy on foreigners, it's the locals (Malaysia & Singapore residents) that they are a little more careful with cos of the many work related crossings.

The duty free issue is a quirk of Singapore law, not a reflection that MH considers this a "domestic" flight. It i s equally true that if you try to buy duty free in the Singapore airport with ANY ticket from KUL they will not let you.

FYI- I suspect that comment about this being considered a "domestic" flight could land you in jail in either country ;-) There is an interesting relationship between these two separate countries.

As to the OP, I have found that even if you put your WP # in for the first leg, it can wind up not being in the future legs (you have to present it on all segments to be safe). If you ever get a chance to look at the computer system they are using at MH you would have a good idea why! I had KUL-SYD post fine and then the return is missing, but haven't gotten around to faxing the e-ticket and bp in yet.

I don't think you understand the terms. Only usable on MH flights? That's pretty nonsensical.

You earn RDMs, but not EQMs.

Just had it post today..Still do not have my MH flights operated by SQ and thai airways. not sure if they will actually post
