SFO question

Flying on business to through SFO. I note a world club in the international concourse, I am flying domestic SFO-MSP-LAN on Saturday: is there a world club for domestic flights, or do folks use one of the code-shares such as CO?

Thanks

There is a Delta club, whatever it is called and awful indeed landside of security off the same concourse NW uses. The Presidents Club is in the same terminal, landside of security. It's a longer hike, but IMHO much nicer than Delta's. Better snacks and free wireless. Just plan for a bit more of a hike to security.

I strongly agree with manneca -- use the CO Presidents Club -- next to (sort of) the check-in counter for CO. It's before security, and not extremely close to the NW gates, but relatively easy walk from the NW counter.

And from personal experience and has been posted here you can generally access the Intl WC by telling security that you want to visit the club. Of course you must have at least a domestic boarding pass and have the time to get there.

:D

Have your WC card out with your BP and ID, if they ask about it or say you're going to the wrong terminal, politely say you're going to the WC first, showing them the card. I do this all the time at TPA to visit the CRC in a different terminal, and I've never been turned away. Others here have had good luck getting through at SFO. If you get through security, you should have no problem at the WC.

Question about NW gates @ SFO... what is the best way to get from the BART to the gates? Airtrain? Walk thru INTL terminal then on to the NW gates (lonnnng ways). Cut thru the middle somehow?

Take airtrain two spots to the Bart stop and than get onto Bart. I would not walk from the NW terminal or International terminal. You can take the Airtrain i beleive red that goes the opposite way from the international and is only a couple stops as well from International gates?

Airtrain. It runs very frequently.

I agree that the CO club is better in terms of snacks wifi and drinks, I often stop by the DL club to grab some of the better free mags (biz traveler, etc) and newspapers on my way to the flight....the AS club FYI is a bit small and underwhelming...

The Airtrain is the best way, simple easy to use and effiecent to the BART.

Don't forget, there is limited times for the WC 8:30 a.m.-3:30p.m.

I have always walked. Through the int'l terminal it's 10-15 minutes. That way I can pick up a salmon teryaki at the Osho Japanese in the food court in the main hall. ^

You'll also walk right past the CO President's Club on your way to the NW gates. Very convenient.

"Please hold on. Please set luggage cart brake to on"

I believe "Garage A" is the Bart stop on Airtrain. First stop after International and 2'nd stop from NW domestic terminal.

ha!

Nothing reminds me of the Airtrain and SFO airport more than this line...kind of like "Detroit Michigan is in the Eastern Time Zone..."

I believe it garage G, but I'll edit this when I find the maps.

EDIT:

I found the maps, and it is garage G stop on the AirTrain for the connection to Bart.

Maps:

AirTrain: http://www.flysfo.com/web/page/atsfo/airtrain/map/

Terminals: http://www.flysfo.com/web/page/as_airportmaps.htm (may need IE, unless my Firefox Flash plug-in didn't update)

Ok so airtrain is the fastest...thats what I've been doing. Still seems to take forever, I just thought there might be a quicker way :)

I have no personal experience with it, but it looks like the Red AirTrain should be faster since the Blue one goes all the way to the car rental area first.
