upgrade miles
 

Probably not a new thread but i searched posts and could not find anything. I had asked previously to just concluded mileage upgrade what kind of bonus miles i would receive. All replies said no bonus miles but here is what i got on each segment.
from can-nrt, nrt-msp, msp-mco and reverse i received
normal mileage. 50per cent class bonus and 100 percent gold bonus.
a total of 22,733 miles each way
quite a nice mileage run to end the year but missed making gold again by
nearly 3k miles.......oh well...........

You probably bought "Y" or "B", per rules, to use miles to upgrade. Those classes give 50% EQM bonus

yes, i bought B...........well worth it for the comfort and the miles.......

I don't think buying B class gives you any different seats or comfort level, unless you upgrade with miles, or get an op-up. :)
